WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and design ability of related plumbing systems.
- Cooperating with other trades on the project to complete the project.
- Performing preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Preparing on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
- Interacting with customers and documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION:
- A minimum of 4 years of Plumbing experience in commercial construction.
- The ability to plan, layout and install all drain systems, domestic water systems, natural gas systems, install plumbing fixtures, water heaters, kitchen equipment & elevator sump pumps.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety.

What you will be doing:
The advancement of our industry, brand, and reputation is being driven by our Commercial Pipe Welders. As a Commercial Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques
- Ability to weld in any position using a 6010 root and a 7018 filler and cover pass with the result being a quality weld
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
- Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
- 6G Certified

- Reviewing the job schedule, and estimated man hours, material take offs, etc.
- Resolving all differences of opinion with Project Manager at the beginning of the job.
- Setting up the job office and equipment trailers and seeing that permits, labor notices, safety rules and regulations and E.E.O.C. material are posted in a conspicuous place.
- Seeing that safety regulations are followed by tradesmen, including subcontractor crews. Safety meetings must be adequately attended.
- Having a thorough knowledge of the plans and specifications for each project assigned.
- Maintaining a high standard of quality control at all times.
- Keeping the progress schedule current, reviewing schedule status and job costs on an ongoing basis.
- Maintaining inventory control over tools and equipment, ascertaining that moveable tools are returned to the tool area and all other equipment
adequately secured.
- Insuring that all as-built plans are accurate and up to date.
